2 TYPES OF NETWORK CABLING

NETWORK CABLING
Means creating a cable in a network .Using these two types of cabling we are able to share files from one computer to another computer. These cables will help the computer to locate the other computer. But now they are using wifi connection to connect computer from another computer but I prefer to use network cabling ,coz the performance of the network is faster than using wifi specially when wifi encounter problems.

STRAIGHT CABLES

Use straight cables when using a hub, switch, or router - as the internal circuitry switches these over when it routes to another computer. This is a common type of cable specially in networking using server connect this cables from router and switches in order to connect in a network. You can use the color combination WO, Orange, WG, Blue, WB, Green, WBrown, and Brown for straight cable

CROSSOVER CABLES
Crossover cables are only used when connecting a PC directly to another PC. The crossover signifies the switching of the receive / transmit wires at the other end. What one computer sends is directly fed into the receiving port of the other (vice versa). This is what we called PC top PC networking you can easily get the files from one computer using this crossover cable

Topologies of Networking

The Bus topology is one of the simplest and the very common of the four network topologies to use. it is simply a case of running one cable (referred to as the backbone) from the first device/PC in the network to the last device/PC, and then add any further devices/PCs to the existing cable (backbone) between the first and last machines. From computer server to switch if the client computer connects to switch they can access the server easily.

The mesh topology, each device/PC is connected to every other device/PC in the network by its own cable, which means vast amounts of cables for any sizable network. This topology provides fault tolerance by having separate cables for each connection, allowing any one cable to break without interfering with the rest of the network.

The star topology connects the devices via a centralized unit. A Star topology gives great fault tolerance, as any device/cable failure will not affect the rest of the network (unless the centralizing device or server (if vital) fails).

The Ring topology networks the devices by connecting each device to its two neighboring devices Data is passed one way from device to device, fault tolerance in a physical ring topology is non existant, if one device/cable fails then the whole network goes down.

Is it possible to switch the internet connection from PLDT to GLOBE in a bridge connection?

Yes, it’s possible to switch the internet connection from PLDT to GLOBE by using VPN, VPN has a tunnel where you can configure the internet connection in a network. Virtual Private Network or VPN is a hardware devices that we can use to create a bridge in a network.  VPN can create a tunnel that allow us to connect lot of network

Anti-virus in Computer Network

Anti-Virus is very important if you create a computer network .it will allow you to stop or delete all viruses in the network. Virus can cause slow performance in your computer in this problem you cant use your computer fast in a cause that your work will be pending. We have lot of anti-virus for example avira, avast, symantec, avg and eset.Note: Virus can spread million times in your computer please provide anti-virus in your computer specially if you are connected in a network.

Why Computer Networking is important if you have a business?

For me networking is very important in business specially if your business requires computers like Internet Cafe or in the Office.I'll explain it in a chart.
One company----One Internet connection----one or more networks----many end users---one database and everybody can have access to it.

Hope in this information will help the readers to understand why networking is very important. Computer Networking is proven to everybody this is the standard system use if you have lot of computer. You can monitor all the computer if you are in a network.but please be careful to the viruses that spread in your computer. Dont Forget to install and anti-virus in your computer.

What is computer networking?

Computer networking is a connection of one or more computer in order to share data. Networks are built with mix of computer hardware and computer software. In this system we can share our files both local and online. This is system is very advantage especially to the people that own their business it is because we can centralize all our data using one system by using computer networking. For an example online banking system without networking data cannot be centralized in this case you can encounter confliction of data.

What is advantage of computer networking?

File Sharing – The major advantage of a computer network is that is allows file sharing and remote file access. A person sitting at one workstation of a network can easily see the files present on the other workstation, provided he is authorized to do so. We can also share our hardware for example printer, scanner, hardisk, flash drive and etc.

Increase storage capacity - As there is more than one computer on a network which can easily share files, the issue of storage capacity gets resolved to a great extent. A standalone computer might fall short of storage memory, but when many computers are on a network, memory of different computers can be used in such case. One can also design a storage server on the network in order to have a huge storage capacity

Increase cost Efficiency - There are much software available in the market which are costly and take time for installation. Computer networks resolve this issue as the software can be stored or installed on a system or a server and can be used by the different workstations

What is the disadvantage of computer networking?

Computer Virus – If computers are involve to a network sharing of files is very dangerous specially to the files that contains lot of virus. Since the computer is in a network the virus is also moving in a network so there is a possibility that all computers in a network will encounter virus.

Security Issue – Since the files is being share your important file is not safe because if your files is share in  a network all confidential files is open to everyone. Or  a files that is very important to you and it was change by other user because of a network.

Dependent  on the Main Server – In networking there is a server that contains all the data in the network the problem is if the computer server encounter  virus, all the computer connected in the network will contain virus. Slow performance of the server will give problem to the client computer

Expensive Setup – In networking files are all share but this kind of system needs lot of money we are using lot of devices in order to create a nice and powerful network.

What are the components to create a Computer Network?

Computer – Computer is a device that accepts information it can receives process and presents data. We also have computer hardware and computer software in order to interact user.

Software – Is a computer application or a program that use to create a file they are so many time of software application for example Business Application Software use to create a documentary files, Programming Application use to create a program that we can use in a business.

Hardware -  is the physical part of the computer for example monitor, mouse, keyboard and etc.

Hardwares that we can use in networking.

LAN CABLE – Local Area Networks or LAN Cables  can connects a massive number of personal computers, printers, file servers, and workstations in  one network

VPN – Virtual Private Network or VPN is a hardware devices that we can use to create a bridge in a network.  VPN can create a tunnel that allow us to connect lot of network

SWITCH – Switch is a computer hardware that create a lot of network. If we have ten computers then only one computer can connect to internet. In this hardware all ten computers can connect to internet. Connect the switch to a router the from router to a modem.

ROUTER - are physical devices that join multiple wired or wireless networks together. Technically, a wired or wireless router is a Layer 3 gateway, meaning that the wired/wireless router connects networks (as gateways do), and that the router operates at the network layer of the OSI model.

MODEM - is a device that modulates an analog carrier signal to encode lot of digital information  and also demodulates such a carrier signal to decode the transmitted information. The very goal is to produce a signal that can be transmitted easily and decoded to reproduce the original digital data. Modems can be used over any means of transmitting analog signals, from driven diodes to radio.

COMPUTER SERVER – We can put all our files that we can share in the computer server. We can also share hardware in computer server

COMPUTER CLIENTS  -  Is a computer that will connect to a computer server to gain access to the files that share in the computer server.
